First, the words

Lip tattoo, lip blush, lip tint tattoo and semi-permanent lip colour all describe the same thing in the Philippines: pigment placed in the upper layer of the lip skin to even the tone and define the border, healing to a soft wash rather than a lipstick. A full-colour lip tattoo that heals like painted lipstick is a different and heavier result; I do not do it, and I would ask any studio quoting it to show healed photos, not fresh ones.

What a complete price contains

  • The consultation. Twenty minutes to look at your lips in daylight, map the border, mix a colour against your own tone and give you the number. With me it is free and it is where the price is set for your case.
  • Mapping and colour. The border drawn and approved in a mirror before any pigment, and a pigment mixed for your lip, not picked from a chart. A quote that does not mention either is a quote for a template.
  • Numbing, twice. A cream before and a second application once the skin is open. Lips are the most sensitive of the three areas, and a studio that numbs once is saving minutes at your expense.
  • The session itself. Sixty to ninety minutes of work after the mapping.
  • Aftercare. The balm, the written rules and someone to message on day five when the flaking starts.
  • The retouch at six to eight weeks. This is the one most often left out. Lips heal unevenly; the retouch evens what healed lighter and is part of finishing the work. If it is not inside the quote, add its price before you compare.

What makes one lip more expensive than another

Dark or two-toned lips. A purple or brown base turns a pink blush grey as it heals. Those lips need neutralization first: warm corrective pigments over two or three sessions, six to eight weeks apart. It is the honest route. A quote that skips it on dark lips is a quote for a result you will want fixed.

Old lip tattoo from elsewhere. Faded or discoloured old work has to be assessed first. Light old work can be corrected in the same session as the new colour. Dark old work needs lightening before anything, which is its own timeline and price.

Cold sores. Not a price factor, but a planning one. If you get them, the antiviral you normally use starts before the session, and the session waits until any active sore has healed.

Why the cheap end is cheap

A low quote usually removes one of the items above: the retouch is separate, the numbing is one pass, the colour is a standard pink, the mapping is quick. Sometimes the artist is new and practising at a discount, which is a fair trade if you know it. What it is not is the same service for less money. The cost of a lip that healed uneven or muddy is a correction that starts from a worse base than a bare lip.

What I charge

Lip blush costs ₱14,990, and that number includes the consultation, mapping, colour mixed for your lips, numbing twice, the session, aftercare and the retouch visit. Lip neutralization is ₱14,990, and neutralization with lip blush as one package is ₱24,990. The exact figure for your lips is what you leave the free consultation with. All prices are on the prices page.

Questions to ask before you pay anyone

  • Is the retouch included, and when is it?
  • Will you show me healed photos, six weeks or more after the session, on lips like mine?
  • Do you neutralize dark lips first, and how many sessions do you expect for mine?
  • Who does the retouch, and is it the same person?
  • What happens if I get a cold sore after?

How the colour is chosen and what the first month looks like is on the lip blush page. Dark lips have their own page. The consultation is free.

Questions about lip tattoo prices

Is lip blush the same as lip tattoo?

Yes. Lip tattoo is the everyday Filipino term, lip blush is the technique name. Both mean pigment placed in the upper layer of the lip skin to even the colour and define the border. A full lipstick-style tattoo is a different, heavier result that I do not do.

Why is a retouch sometimes charged separately?

Because it lets the first price look smaller. The retouch at six to eight weeks is part of the work on every lip; without it the result stays uneven. Ask whether it is inside the quote before you compare two prices.

Do dark lips cost more?

Dark or two-toned lips need neutralization before colour, which is its own sessions and its own price. A quote that skips it on dark lips will heal muddy and cost more to fix later than to do right first.

What does your lip blush cost?

Lip blush is ₱14,990, with the retouch visit included. Lip neutralization is ₱14,990, and both together as a package cost ₱24,990. The consultation is free and you leave it with the exact number for your case.
