Eyeliner tattoo in Makati: classic lash line or powder eyeliner
Kate offers two eyeliner tattoo styles in Salcedo Village, Makati. The choice depends on the look you want and your eye shape. A classic lash line makes lashes look fuller with no visible liner. A powder eyeliner adds a soft shaded band above them. Kate Kanner does both and shows you where each would sit before you decide.

Classic lash line
Pigment placed only between the lashes, along the root line. Nothing sits on the lid above them. The effect is lashes that look thicker and darker, and eyes that look awake without makeup. Nobody can point to a liner because there is none. It suits every eye shape, including hooded eyes and mature lids, and it is the most common choice for people who want to stop drawing but do not want anyone to know they had anything done.
Powder eyeliner
The lash line plus a soft shaded band above it, like pencil smudged with a brush. It reads as makeup, but soft makeup, with no hard edge. It suits eyes with visible lid space and people who wear liner most days and want the base of it permanent. Kate keeps it fine and close to the lashes on hooded eyes so it stays below the fold when the eye is open.
Lash lift and tint
Not permanent makeup, and often booked with it. Kate lifts your own lashes from the root and tints them darker, so they curl up and read longer without mascara. There are no extensions and no glue, and nothing to remove later. It takes one visit and lasts until those lashes shed and grow back. It pairs well with a classic lash line: the pigment fills the root line, the lift opens the lashes above it. ₱2,499.
Why Kate keeps eyeliner soft
A sharp wing looks right for a year. Skin on the eyelid loosens with age and the wing drifts, thickens and ends up pointing somewhere new. A soft powder band and a filled lash line age with the eye instead of against it, and they can be made stronger later. They cannot be made smaller later without removal. So Kate does not do wings or thick graphic liner, and she says so at the consultation rather than after.
The session
- Mapping. Kate looks at your eyes open, closed and mid-blink, marks where the pigment would sit, and shows you in the mirror.
- Numbing. Cream on the closed lid for twenty minutes, then again once the skin is open. Most people find eyeliner the least painful of the three areas: vibration and pressure more than pain.
- Pigment. Fine dots between the lashes first, then the powder band if you chose it. Under two hours in total.
- Aftercare and photos. You leave with the ointment and the rules. The eyes are puffy for a day or two.
Healing
Days 1 to 2. Swelling, most of it in the morning. Cold compresses help. Days 3 to 6. The line darkens, then flakes in tiny pieces. Days 7 to 14. It looks lighter than you wanted. Week 4. The true result. Weeks 6 to 8. The retouch visit.
Aftercare
- No mascara or eye makeup for ten days. Replace your mascara after; old tubes carry bacteria.
- Contact lenses out for the session and for 24 hours after. Bring glasses.
- Lash extensions off before the appointment, and none for four weeks after.
- No rubbing, no picking, no swimming or sauna for a week.
- Sunglasses outside for the first week.

What clients say
★★★★★Janet LimSeptember 2026 (excerpt)I first came across Kate Kanner's Permanent Make-up ads on Facebook. I messaged her to ask some questions, and she sent over photos of her work. She happened to be running a promotion at the time too, which got me even more interested.

Questions about eyeliner tattoo
What is the difference between a lash line and powder eyeliner?
A classic lash line places pigment only between the lashes, so your lashes look thicker and nobody can see a liner. Powder eyeliner adds a soft shaded band above the lashes, like pencil smudged with a brush. One is invisible makeup, the other is visible but soft.
Do you do a winged or thick liner?
No. Skin on the eyelid loosens with age and a sharp wing drifts and thickens with it. Kate keeps eyeliner soft and close to the lashes so it still looks right in ten years.
I wear contact lenses or lash extensions.
Take lenses out for the session and leave them out for 24 hours. Lash extensions come off before the appointment, and you wait four weeks after it to put them back.
Does eyeliner tattoo hurt?
It is the least painful of the three areas for most people. Numbing cream goes on the closed lid before the work and again during it. You feel vibration and pressure more than pain.
I have hooded eyes. Which one suits me?
Usually the lash line, or a fine powder liner that stays below the fold. Kate looks at your eyes open and closed at the consultation and shows you where the pigment would sit.
How long does it last?
Three to five years. Eyelid skin is thin and mostly out of the sun, so eyeliner outlasts brows and lips.
